If you knew my long-term relationship with peanut butter, you’d know just how big of a deal it is for me to say that balls filled with peanut butter were eaten by me – let alone have become a new favorite!

I had a back and forth relationship with peanut butter growing up. I remember at some point really liking celery and peanut butter together. Why? How? I have no clue. It sounds gross to me now. But I have a vivid memory of liking it.

Most of my memories though are of not wanting anything to do with anything with peanut butter in it. I know. Crazy, right?

When other kids had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I had jelly sandwiches (I’ve always been a hoarder of sugary things 😉 ). Peanut butter cookie? I’d rather have had no cookie at all. Reese’s? Didn’t touch the stuff. Always traded them away at Halloween.

I know, I know. How was that even possible?? I’m not really sure.

But I’ve since changed my ways! I mean, did you see my Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake last week?!? Clearly I’m a big fan now, but it’s a fairly new peanut butter love affair.

And these Crispy Peanut Butter Balls are feeding my addiction. I really need to never make them again – I’ve eaten so many I have a headache as I type this. But of course I will make them again because I’m addicted.

I love these even more than the traditional buckeye because of the crispies. I didn’t expect it – but the added crunch and texture seriously makes me eat one after the other. It’s a problem. A problem I’d like to pass onto you. 🙂

Another great thing about these? No. Bake. Come to me lover. Anything that’s this easy and requires no baking simply rocks.

Crispy Peanut Butter Balls

Plus, I get to yell to the hubs to “bring me my balls!” I just kind of find that fun. I’m a kid, I know.

And you know what? These are perfect for the Super Bowl which is only a few days a way, which means you better get going. Time to make some balls!

“Bring me my balls!” Omg, that gave me a good laugh. 😀

And I’m a total fan of anything with chocolate, peanut butter, and crunchy, so these are definitely added to my list of things to make!

It helps to think them out and making dipping easier. You could try using a touch of vegetable oil. I haven’t used that method, but I think others have. You could also use coconut oil, or just use the straight chocolate.

I made these tonight for a football party this weekend. I shaped them into little footballs and piped white lines on the top. They are DELICIOUS, however, this made a TON of balls. I got double the amount you said. My batch made 88 1″ balls. I got tired shaping them into footballs after 36 of them, so then the rest were just balls. I thought I did something wrong, but I re-read the recipe about 10 times and I did everything you said, and I even measured the balls to make sure they were 1″. LOL! I’m not complaining, but next time I’ll cut the recipe in half. They are very good, so thank you!
