So you see, I’ve always been a big fan of Cool Whip. Love the stuff. Will eat it straight out of the carton. But recently, I’ve been playing around a little more with making my own whipped cream. And not just as a replacement for Cool Whip in recipes, but flavoring it and really making it tasty! And you guys. Flavored and fun whipped creams are no joke. So tasty. So easy. And so fun to eat. I mean, forget about putting it on something. Just use your finger or a spoon. I think half of my whipped cream gets eaten that way. Cool Whip definitely has it’s place in my heart still, but it’s now a shared space. Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream I’ve been inspired by friend Julianne from Beyond Frosting in this whipped cream adventure of mine. Have you seen her Cinnamon Maple Whipped Cream? Or her Hot Chocolate Whipped Cream? And oh my goodness, I think I died when I saw her Cake Batter Whipped Cream! Well, with St. Patrick’s Day coming up, Baileys has been on my mind and in my kitchen. I have kind of a love affair with the stuff. Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream I’m really not a big drinker, but I LOVE baking with Baileys. The flavor of it – just perfect. Especially combined with chocolate. Have you ever put Baileys in your hot chocolate? Heaven. I’ve even made a Baileys Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Pie in the name of my love for it. So today, I share with you Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream! Like I said, it’s super easy to make and totally worth it. It’s light on the chocolate and not too heavy on the Bailey’s. The great thing though is you can reduce the amount of Baileys if you want and it won’t change a thing. Even the Baileys Coffee Creamer should work just fine as a replacement. It may not be as strong, but that’s ok. Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream And you really won’t want to stop eating it. It was hard to keep my fingers out of that bowl! Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream

Description

This Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream is light and delicious! It’s a super easy recipe that’s perfect for topping your favorite desserts!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp baileys
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Freeze metal bowl and whisk for 15-20 minutes to get them good and cold.
2. Remove bowl from freezer and add whipping cream.
3. Whip on medium speed for a few minutes. Cream will initially bubble a little bit, then start to thicken.
4. As the cream starts to thicken, add the Baileys, cocoa and powdered sugar.
5. Whip until stiff peaks form, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure not to over mix. It quickly goes from smooth whipped cream to curdled whipped cream, so watch it closely.

    Your recipes that you post, and the ones that I receive by email are wonderful!! I bake for friends that order desserts from me and your recipes inspire me to change flavours in my own recipes. I’m making a surprise ‘No Bake’ Baileys Cheesecake for a work potluck luncheon on Valentines Day and will certainly use your recipe for the Baileys Chocolate Whipped Cream. I’m very excited at this point in making this particular Cheesecake as it will be my first time for this flavour of a No Bake one. For my final decoration on top of the Baileys whipped cream swirls, I will be sprinkling those chocolate coated miniature balls that have a crunch inside them on the swirls. Wish me luck!!!

    How firm is the hold on baked goods? I’ve used other homemade whipped toppings and it’s doesn’t really keep shape well. Do you know what i could add to keep it’s shape without ruining the flavor? Thanks for sharing!
