– Make sure you cream the butter, sugar, oil and vanilla completely. – Measure your flour correctly. – It’s a good idea to add a bit more milk or water if your frosting comes out too thick. – Let your cupcakes cool completely before you frost them.
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl and set aside.
Combine the butter, sugar, oil and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl and beat together for 2-3 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time. Mix until each egg is mostly combined before adding another.
Add half the dry ingredients to the batter and slowly add the milk. Mix until everything is well combined.
Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
Fill the cupcake liners 3/4 full and bake for 15-18 minutes!
Remove cupcakes from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
Make the vanilla buttercream and frost your cupcakes. Nothing left to do but enjoy!
