What Makes This Chocolate Cupcake Recipe So Good?

The cupcake itself is the most moist cupcake you’ll ever have! Part of their secret is that they are baked at a lower temperature.

Mix Dry Ingredients

Add the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk together. Set aside for later.

Mix Wet Ingredients

Combine the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla in another mixing bowl.

Mix Wet & Dry Ingredients

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Add Water

Add water to the batter mix until well combined. The batter will be thin!

Pour Batter Into Liners

Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter and you're ready to bake!


Bake the cupcakes at 300 degrees for 18-23 minutes and let cool for 2 minutes before moving cupcakes to a cooling rack.

Make Frosting & Decorate

The frosting is made with real melted chocolate for a silky smooth, super chocolatey frosting you won't be able to stop eating!
