This year, 2014, has been such an amazing one for Life, Love and Sugar. The blog has grown so much and I’ve had a blast with it. One of the more notable changes is that I went from posting only once a week in 2012 and 2013, to posting 3 times a week this year. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s also been so rewarding, especially when I heard from people who have tried and loved a recipe.

One of my favorite things to do is look at what recipes are doing the best. The bottom line is that I like to bring you more of what you like, so I look at that regularly and do my best to pay attention. Even still, I was surprised at some of the posts that made it into the top 14. I put together the list of the top recipes from this year for you to check out (only recipes posted in 2014). And without further ado, here they are:
The Top 14 Recipes of 2014
14. Caramel Apple Trifles
I was surprised to see this one in the top 10. It was only posted this fall, so it didn’t have as much time and yet still has been very popular. It’s delicious and easy to make.
13. Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
I was really happy to see this one make it. I love these cookies. They’re soft, thick, chewy and always a hit.
12. Fruit Cheesecake Sugar Cookie Cups
This one was a big hit over the summer and I love them. The flavors are perfect and I love the individual portion of the cookie cups.
11. Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
Peanut butter + chocolate + Reese’s. What’s not to love?
10. Best Chocolate Cake
When I say the best, I mean the best. I love this chocolate cake and am so glad it made the top 14.
9. Funfetti Cake Batter Cookie Dough Brownie Layer Cake
Funfetti and I are best friends. Turn that into cookie dough and layer it with brownies and I die. I’m so glad you all agree. 🙂
8. Moist and Chewy Banana Oatmeal Cookies
It’s so cool to see this recipe make it into the top top 14. It’s from my grandmother’s cookbook and it’s so full of banana flavor. 🙂
7. Death by Chocolate Icebox Cake
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. How can you go wrong?
6. No Bake Samoa Cheesecake
One of my favorites too. So stinkin’ good.
5. Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownie Layer Cake
This one was the first of the cookie dough and brownie layered cakes and you all have loved it. Over the top? Never.
4. Caramel Apple Blondie Cheesecake
Another fall recipe that managed to do extremely well. This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving and I’m not surprised. It is one of the best marriages of textures and flavors ever.
3. Quick and Easy Brownies {Like a Box Mix!}
Who doesn’t need a good brownie recipe? This one’s a winner.
2. Perfect Moist and Fluffy Vanilla Cupcakes
I am so proud of this recipe. I spend so much time testing these and every time I hear from someone that they loved them, I’m so pumped. I’m also pumped that they are my #2 most viewed.
1. Cannoli Poke Cake
I never would’ve guessed when I posted this cake that it would end up being my most viewed of the year. Funny how that can happen. But it’s an awesome and super easy cake. And you guys love it!
So those are the top 14 recipes of all the recipes posted in 2014! Did your favorite make the list? What would you add to the list?
Personally, it’s very hard for me to pick favorites. I love everything I post. But there are a few that I’d like to add the list of best of 2014 as honorable mentions. I love these next few recipes for many reasons, but mostly they are just delicious and must be tried.
