Todayโ€™s post is a little different. Today we are talking about one of my favorite things beyond the sweets – clothes! I was recently asked to try out a new clothing delivery site and I couldnโ€™t wait! New, fabulous clothes – sign me up!

The service is called Golden Tote – the ultimate surprise grab bag with stylish clothes for amazing deals. Hereโ€™s how it works:

Golden Tote

The first Monday of every month, the new sale begins and lasts for the month. Decemberโ€™s is going on now! You pick 2 items that you like and then Golden Tote picks the rest to match your style based on a profile you creat. Youโ€™ve got to sign up quickly too – some things sell out FAST!

You can choose between a smaller bag of 2-3 items for $49 or a larger bag of 5-7 items for $149. The retail of the bags is anywhere from $200-$600 dollars – thatโ€™s a great value for some fun items!

One thing to keep in mind is that the way they do returns is a little different. It’s all or nothing. You can return the whole tote or keep everything. But if you keep the whole tote and end up not liking a piece or needing a different size, they have a Facebook group where you can swap items with other Golden Tote users. Sweet!

So letโ€™s see what they sent me, shall we?

First up, we have this fun, but casual sweater. I totally would never have picked it out for myself, but I absolutely love it. Iโ€™ve already worn it to work. It is SO comfy and perfect for winter!

I also love this back detail with the cutout and buttons – such a cute way to add interest to a sweater.

Next up is this floral top. I knew as soon as I saw it that I would love it. Itโ€™s easily my favorite piece. Iโ€™ve already worn this one too. I love the colors and the floral! Not all floral is great and I love this one. And then a lace detail around the neck – totally me! They nailed it with this one.

I was a little torn with this next shirt. I love the pocket detail and how itโ€™s kind of casual, but nice. Itโ€™s also a very comfortable material. Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s totally flattering on me, but itโ€™s a nice addition to my wardrobe and itโ€™s totally different from anything else I have – one of the benefits of a service like this. New things you never wouldโ€™ve picked for yourself. ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually picked this next top out as one of my two items. Iโ€™m loving this style top right now and I thought this would be really festive for New Years. I was right and I love it!

This top was their pick for me and itโ€™s very comfy and casual. Itโ€™s a great top, but Iโ€™m not sure I love it on me. Horizontal stripes arenโ€™t always flattering and itโ€™s a little short. Iโ€™m thinking I might check out the Facebook group and see if I can trade it for something else.

I picked this dress as my second item. I love the idea of a cute, flowy dress and I love the elbow patches. Iโ€™m not totally sure itโ€™s great on me – itโ€™s also horizontal stripes and Iโ€™m not loving the belt (it didnโ€™t come with the belt, thatโ€™s mine), but thatโ€™s the only black one I had that might work. Itโ€™s got a lot of extra fabric, so I might try to get another size.

I totally love this last piece! I am a big fan of pink and I like the pattern. The only thing is that itโ€™s quite tight around my legs. It might be hard to tell in the picture, but itโ€™s hard to walk in. Another one I might have to try and trade. So cute though, isnโ€™t it?

So there you have it! What do you think of the things I got? Overall, I was really happy with the experience. They sent a lot of cute things, including some that were unique for me and fun to try. I also love having clothes show up on my doorstep. Such a fun thing to come home to! ๐Ÿ™‚ They do gift certificates as well, and gifting a month to someone would make a really fun gift.

Cute stuff! I am not a big fan of the gray shirt with the pocket, but you can pull it off. The items all look good on you. I like the horizonal striped dress with the belt but I see your thought of all the extra material. It is cute though! I love the sweater….the back just makes it so unique! Thanks for sharing.

Do you still do that Stitch Fix program? I think you were doing that one a few months ago? That seemed cool too!

Thanks Jill! I have been doing Stitch Fix for a few months and I do like that too. They are a little different, but each has things that I like. The main difference is with Golden Tote it’s all or nothing and with Stitch Fix you can pick and choose. Golden Tote has some really cute things though, and you get to pick a couple yourself which is nice.

How fun?! You look great in all of them! I love that sweater too, those buttons are so cute! I have never heard of this but now I need to give it a try! I did Stitch Fix but it just never really worked for me. I kept getting things I specifically said I didn’t need, I kept thinking they were misreading my comments! haha! And I like that this has a more reasonable price range, some of the stitch fix things I got were pretty high!

I love all of the pieces. They all look great on you! One of my favorite tops ever is a piece that I received in my Golden Tote. I never thought that I would like it as much as I do, but I love it!

That pink top is SO cute on you! Tailors are super cheap and quick — could you have them put a little side vent in the bottom?

    Fun post ๐Ÿ™‚

What an awesome idea ! It’s like a surprise clothes package every month, how nice. The sweater is ‘to die for’ It is amazing and looks stunning on you. I I really love the long sleeve top they picked out for you with the pocket detail. It looks really good on you and so stylish! I actually really like the casual horizontal grey and white top with the long grey sleeves on you. I personally don’t think it looks too short at all, it is all part of the vibe. I honestly think you look great in it (sometimes its good to look outside one’s comfort zone) I would not swop that one at all ! ๐Ÿ™‚ The horizontal dress does seem to have a lot of excess material around the body of the dress, yet the sleeves look as if they fit perfectly, have you considered getting it altered? The pink top looks great, but if it is too tight then perhaps you should try and trade otherwise you wont end up ever wearing it, or maybe a larger size (not sure how that works) Apart from that lovely clothes :-)Always good to spoil oneself ๐Ÿ™‚

I may have to look into this… I never heard of such a service and thanks for sharing. I pretty much loved all the peices they sent you but I must confess, I am not a fan of the striped shirt with the gray sleeves. I do like the 2-in-1 look but that shirt doesn’t do it for me. I also think you should KEEP the pink shirt (your last item). I think it’s pretty and flattering. It does not look to tight. That’s my favorite piece
