Rice Krispie Treats Are One Of My Favorite Guiltless Desserts

I’m a fan of Rice Krispies Treats. They seem fairly guiltless. And when you spice ’em up a little, you get to pack a lot flavor into fewer calories than cake requires. And there are days that I just shouldn’t eat cake. Sad as it may be. I’m not one of those naturally skinny people. I have to work at it.

So I worked really hard this past weekend and made these tasty treats. 🙂

And they really do have a lot of flavor. A little more butterscotch-y than pumpin-y, but still yummy. They were quite popular among our friends.

If you’re anything like my husband, than you’re tired of all the pumpkin already. But if you’re like me then you’re still excited about it. At least for another few weeks. Which would be good because I’m not done with pumpkin yet.

Double Pumpkin Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats

Description

These Double Pumpkin Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats are easy to make and have tons of butterscotch and pumpkin flavor. It’s a no bake dessert that’s always a crowd pleaser and perfect for fall!


Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 8-oz bag pumpkin spice marshmallows
  • OR 1 10 oz bag regular marshmallows with 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 box pumpkin spice pudding mix
  • 1/23/4 cups butterscotch chips
  • 5 cups rice krispie cereal

Instructions

1. In a bowl, add butterscotch chips to rice krispies and mix so they are well distributed.
2. Melt butter in a large pot.
3. Add marshmallows to pot and melt.
4. Add pumpkin spice pudding mix to pot and mix well.
5. Add rice krispies and butterscotch chips to pot and mix.
6. Pour mixture into an 9×13 dish and spread into dish. Don’t press too hard or the treats will turn out hard.
7. Allow to cool.

      Thank you! Whether or not to start with free or paid depends a bit on how comfortable you are with web stuff. It seemed overwhelming to me at first to start with self hosted, so I went with free for about a year. Transferring everything over once you’re ready to be self-hosted can be a pain though, so if you are comfortable, I’d say go with paid hosting from the beginning. Either way you go, WordPress is a great platform.
