The combination of thick and creamy chocolate cheesecake, melty toasted marshmallows and graham cracker crust is totally to die for and the perfect summer dessert! Plus, get pumped because this week is S'mores Week!! A bunch of wonderful bloggers will be bringing you s'mores inspired desserts all week long! So it rained here a good bit of the weekend. It finally stopped Sunday, but it stayed wet and dark and cloudy even when the rain stopped. Fortunately it wasn't also cold. But all that rain meant indoor activities which meant a lot of chillaxin' on the couch and checking out stuff on Netflix. Saturday morning, the hubs slept in. I didn't. I don't seem to be able to do that anymore and it makes me sad. Between my … [Read more...]

Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake

Did you know that June 14 is National Strawberry Shortcake Day? It's true! So today I am celebrating with this Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake. It combines three of my favorite things - cake, strawberries and cheesecake - into a beautiful dessert that is perfect for celebrating this fun day! If you've been reading the blog a while, then you know I love strawberries. They've been my favorite fruit since I was a kid. My dad will still buy them for me when they're in season and I'm coming to visit. So when I was asked to help Driscoll's Strawberries celebrate Strawberry Shortcake Day, I could not wait. Strawberry shortcake has been a classic dessert for more than 100 years and Dricoll's is easily the strawberry brand I prefer in my shortcake. They always have the best smelling, prettiest berries! I … [Read more...]

No Bake Strawberry Milkshake Cheesecake

This No Bake Strawberry Milkshake cheesecake might be my favorite cheesecake yet! While it’s not my first time baking with strawberry Nesquick, I’ve officially decided that it is magical when added to desserts and this cheesecake is no exception! It’s worth breaking a diet for. I know. I did it. :) As you read this (assuming you’re reading it the day it posted), I am on my way to the BlogHer Food Conference in Miami!! I cannot wait! It'll be so fun to see friends, meet new ones and spend time with my roomie Julianne. We met back in February and she is the best! Plus, I’m stoked to be back in South Florida for a few days. I’ve decided it’s my heaven. I love it. The only bummer is that the hubs couldn’t come with me - he has to work. I can’t wait to tell you all about the trip when I’m back. If … [Read more...]

These No Bake Key Lime Cheesecakes in a jar are super fantastic! They are so incredibly easy to make and have the perfect key lime flavor - not too strong, but plenty key lime-y! Plus, today is an awesome day! Myself and about 20 other bloggers have come together to throw a surprise virtual baby shower for Lisa from Wine and Glue! One of the great things about blogging is meeting other bloggers and becoming friends. They can be so super supportive, it's really amazing and has quickly become one of my favorite parts. I haven't actually met Lisa in person, but I just love her and her blog! And I hope to meet her in person one day! Reading her story about her last child, Elliot, absolutely touched me. Warning, you may need tissue. My younger brother and I were both born with potentially life … [Read more...]

Fruit Cheesecake Sugar Cookie Cups

These Fruit Cheesecake Sugar Cookie Cups are fresh, fruity and totally perfect for spring! Easter dessert maybe? The combination of moist and chewy sugar cookie, smooth no-bake cheesecake and fresh fruit is such a wonderful mix of taste and texture. I want them all to myself! :) I recently got the chance to try a bag of Zulka Morena Pure Cane Sugar. It's a non-GMO verified and vegan morena sugar. A morena sugar is one that doesn't undergo conventional refining processes, which remove the complexity and flavor in raw sugar cane after it's been processed. Zulka's sugar has a more natural, slightly brown color to it. The granules are also bigger than regular granulated sugar, but it's completely interchangeable with regular sugar -> 1 cup regular sugar = 1 cup Zulka sugar. And it packs a big, … [Read more...]

Banana Pudding Cheesecake

This Banana Pudding Cheesecake is so delicious and banana-y, it will rock your world! Not only does it have real bananas in it, it also has banana pudding. Double banana for the real banana lovers out there, like myself. This cheesecake was a true labor of love. We are massive banana fans, and banana cheesecake is one of our faves. We always get it at The Cheesecake Factory. So naturally, I had to make my own at some point. I started with my favorite pumpkin cheesecake and altered from there. I absolutely love that pumpkin cheesecake. It is so thick and creamy and doesn't need a waterbath - what?! Seriously, the jam. I figured it was the perfect starting point. I messed around with a few things, including but not limited to the water bath. I tried to stick with not using a water bath, but sadly … [Read more...]

This No Bake Samoa Cheesecake is the perfect treat to cure your girl scout cookie desires! It’s full of caramel, cookies, coconut and chocolate - all the wonderful flavors of a Samoa girl scout cookie. And you don’t even need any of the actual cookies - so you can make this all year long! This really might be my new favorite dessert! It is so good, it was hard to not take a fork to it and eat the whole thing on my own. Pictures were torture. It’s a good thing I made it a couple days before my parents came into town. We got together with my brother and his family for dinner at home and I brought this out for dessert. It was a massive hit with everyone! Lots of satisfied moaning and groaning was going on. :) I mean, would you just look at the delicious caramel on top…I could eat it with a … [Read more...]

Mini Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Cups

These Mini Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Cups are little bites of heaven! A soft and chewy cookie filled with a no-bake cheesecake filling. They're even tastier than I had pictured in my mind. I love it when that happens! :) Yesterday was a crazy travel day! I'm in Salt Lake City for the Build Your Blog Conference hosted by the sisters of Six Sister's Stuff this weekend and I couldn't be more excited! Getting here was not easy though! I had a flight delayed, which was going to make me miss my connection. So I changed flights and decided to go through Philadelphia rather than Houston, TX. I figured if I was potentially going to get stranded somewhere, Philly would be best since my mom just happens to be working there this week. I ended up with a canceled flight, then a new flight, which was then … [Read more...]

No Bake Oreo Cheesecake

No_Bake_Oreo_Cheesecake-featured

This No Bake Oreo Cheesecake is not only quick and easy to throw together, it's packed with Oreos! In fact, depending on how crazy you want to get, you will need more than 1 package of Oreos for this baby. You see, I'm the kind of gal that when you tell me something is flavored a particular way I don't want to take a bite and have to go searching for the flavor. No, I want it to practically scream at me. I don't want to be able to miss the awesomeness and I don't want you to miss it either. I've got your back. So a bite of this cheesecake is like a big Oreo kick in the mouth. There's no holding back. You're welcome. I mean who are we kidding, anything with Oreo is awesome. You need to cram that in as much as you can. Surely there's some way to rearrange the letters of "Oreo" and spell … [Read more...]

Strawberry and Blueberry Oatmeal Cheesecake Cookie Bars

Can you believe it's August already? The year is just flying by! Truthfully I'm a little torn about moving so rapidly towards fall. I don't have kids yet, so back to school doesn't effect me too much - there's just more traffic going to work in the mornings. It's more that I don't want to see the warm weather go. Walking Jessie (our black lab) in super cold weather is the worst. Worse that sweating while walking her. Plus, I've been digging cold treats recently. And those are perfect in warm weather. But I can carry those into winter, right? I mean, ice cream is totally a year round thing. And I love all the fresh fruit right now! Even though you can get fruit year round, it's all on sale right now. So I'm trying to squeeze fruit into as many treats as I can. They'll be out of season soon and … [Read more...]
