Chocolate Donut Hole Cheesecake

Chocolate_Donut_Cheesecake-featured

This Chocolate Donut Hole Cheesecake might be the most over-the-top dessert I’ve created yet! It’s a smooth and creamy chocolate cheesecake filled with chocolate donut holes. But it doesn’t stop there! It’s topped with more donut holes and the perfect vanilla glaze. Absolutely delicious! I couldn’t wait to post this cheesecake. Not only is it delicious and chocolatey, but it’s kind of awesome too. :) I mean, donuts and cheesecake? Is it dessert, or is it breakfast? How about both! I’d gladly eat it morning, noon and night. I started brain storming about fun donut recipes a few weeks ago when I went to watch the hubs play in a ProAm tennis tournament. There was some tasty food, including Krispy Kreme donuts. Of course I ate one of said donuts, which got me to thinking about how good donuts … [Read more...]

Brownie Brittle Birthday Cake Icebox Cupcakes

Birthday_Cake_Brownie_Brittle_Icebox_Cupcakes-featured

These Brownie Brittle Birthday Cake Icebox Cupcakes are a light and delicious treat! Plus, they're no bake and super easy to make. And aren't they so darn cute? When I was at the BlogHer Food Conference back in May, I had the pleasure of meeting some folks from Brownie Brittle. I was super pumped, because I hadn’t actually tried it before, but had been wanting to. It is some seriously tasty stuff! I kept grabbing more bags of it to bring home and let the hubs try it. It seriously tastes just like a crisp, chocolatey brownie. But possibly even better, because you can eat it like it’s a chip. Somehow that feels less guilty to me than an actual brownie. :) Plus there are four amazing flavors - chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, toffee and salted caramel. If you haven’t seem them in your grocery … [Read more...]

Hot Fudge Swirl Ice Cream Cake

Hot_Fudge_Ice_Cream_Cake-featured

This Hot Fudge Swirl Ice Cream Cake is a wonderful blend of cake and no churn ice cream! Chocolate and vanilla come together for this classic frozen dessert! Last night I had dinner with my dad and older brother’s family. We got on the subject on birthdays, as my dad’s birthday is Sunday and my nieces’ birthdays are coming up soon. My nieces will be 8 and 10. Naturally, I’m the designated cake maker so I asked them what they were considering for their cakes this year. Last year one had my chocolate cake and the other my carrot cake. The younger one always comes up with the craziest stuff and has requested a red jello mermaid - covered in chocolate icing. I couldn’t help but laugh. :) I think we might be able to talk her out of the icing, but it looks like I’m going to need a mermaid … [Read more...]

Triple Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Triple_Peanut_Butter_Cupcakes-featured

These Triple Peanut Butter Cupcakes are absolutely full of peanut butter! A peanut butter cupcake with mini reese's pieces and peanut butter chips mixed in is topped with peanut butter icing. A peanut butter lover's dream cupcake! So I mentioned last Friday that I was going with the hubs and in laws to check out a South African restaurant over the weekend. We ate at Ten Degrees South on Saturday night and were completely transported to South Africa! Ok, so that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it was very nostalgic for them and fun time for me. Not everything on the menu struck me as being super unique and different from things you might find here, but a couple things got them more excited than others for being more unique to South Africa and things they used to eat regularly. We … [Read more...]

Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake

Cinnamon_Roll_Poke_Cake-featured

I am totally in love with this Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake. The moist vanilla cake is made with BAILEYS® Coffee Creamers Cinnamon Dolce and soaked with an amazing butter cinnamon mixture, topped with vanilla icing. I couldn't get enough of it. I got to meet some people from BAILEYS® Coffee Creamers at the BlogHer Food conference in May and I was totally pumped to try their new coffee creamer flavors, both in my coffee and in baking. I love Baileys brand in general. I've always loved their creamers and Baileys liqueur. They've got three tasty new creamer flavors and the one I was most excited to try was the Cinnamon Dolce. I love me some cinnamon! And it was awe-some in my coffee! So when they sent me a few flavors to try, I new the cinnamon one would be the first I'd bake with. It took me … [Read more...]

Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes

These Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes will rock your socks off! They might just be the moistest cupcakes I’ve ever made! The flavors are strong, but the overall cupcake is very light. So light, we were all eating them for breakfast. :) And today is a very exciting day on the blog! Peach Pie

Peach_Pie-featured

I made a Peach Pie! I’m sure you could tell that from the title and all, but I’m kind of excited about it! It’s hard to believe, but this is my first real pie pie I’ve posted on the blog. I have a Strawberry Cream Pie, which is fruity, but not the same kind of traditional pie that I think of when I think of a true fruit pie. Most of the other pies I've made are either frozen or custard based. So yea, I pat myself on the back for this one. Feels like a milestone and accomplishment. :) I don’t know about you, but with school starting so soon, it feels like summer is coming to a quick end. And not like a kid’s summer - that’s definitely ending - but like the warm weather. I know we still have a couple months of it left, but I’m already trying to enjoy the remaining fruit deals while they last. I want … [Read more...]

Snickers Cheesecake

Snickers_Cheesecake-featured

I am completely in love with this Snickers Cheesecake. It is all of my Snickers dreams come true. A vanilla cheesecake full of chopped Snickers, layered with chocolate and caramel sauce, nestled in an Oreo crust. It’s thick and creamy, but gooey, amazing and the perfect way to celebrate National Cheesecake Day. Did you know that National Cheesecake Day is actually a thing? Well it is! There’s actually a bajillion holidays dedicated to different foods. Clearly these are the kind of holidays we should get a day off for. How else will we overindulge in cheesecake? Of course if overindulgence is your thing, you’re in the right place. I pretty much love anything that is over the top. And to celebrate today, a bunch of us bloggers are posting cheesecake, so if you want to check them out, scroll to the … [Read more...]
