Key Lime Pie

I don't know about you, but I love a good Key Lime Pie with just the right amount of sweet and tart. This Key Lime Pie totally fits the bill and is a classic recipe you'll make over and over.So the other day at our small group (a church group that meets weekly) we randomly got onto a discussion about a particular hashtag. One woman was saying that she'd just learned what #smh was and felt like an idiot that she hadn't known already. She'd thought that it was literally a word, like when people say "psh"."Smh". Try sounding that out. It's not easy.So she started making the noise/saying "smh" and we were all dying laughing. One other woman in the group couldn't believe she hadn't known what it meant. So then the rest of us spoke up (there's 7 couples) and revealed that we too had no idea … [Read more...]

I wanted the most perfect version of a guiness brownie to share with you.But before I dive into all that, I have a confession. Get ready.I don't like beer.I know, I know. How can I post a recipe with beer in it when I don't like beer. I can't explain it except to say that it's my dad's fault. I clearly got my taste buds from him - he also does not like beer. It's a thing and he passed it on to me. I have tried so many times to like it. It just won't work.So I fully expected to not like these brownies. I have a coworker who … [Read more...]

It comes together in no time and is great as a snack and perfect for sharing! So with many of our friends starting to have kids, it seems one of the first things we do when we see the babies for the first time is try to decide who the baby looks most like. Mom or dad? Then, as they grow up, there's still those comments about who the kids are more like. And even as an adult, it happens."oh, you get that from your father."Usually it's the bad stuff that one parent is blaming on the other. I totally get it.
