Copycat Bojangles Cinnamon Biscuits

I have been so excited to share these Copycat Bojangles Cinnamon Biscuits with you! Those biscuits are some of my favorites of all time and being able to make them at home has made all my biscuit dreams come true! While that may seem a bit over-the-top, it’s for real. Bojangles is a fried chicken fast food restaurant, but sadly it’s only on the East Coast, primarily in the South. So while you may not have heard of it, if you are ever near one, you must try it - and get the fries! OMG! The best seasoning! And I’d tell you to also get the cinnamon biscuits, but sadly they got rid of them many years ago. :( :( :(My life was over on that sad, sad day. I almost boycotted right then and there. A soft, buttery, amazing biscuit soaked with a cinnamon filling and smothered in vanilla glaze icing? I … [Read more...]

Rosette Sugar Cookies

These Rosette Sugar Cookies are such a soft and chewy sugar cookie topped with a yummy buttercream icing. A classic cookie with simple decoration - I love them!So you may or may not figured this out by now, but I have a sweet tooth. ;)I have always loved my cake, cookies, you name it - with icing. That's just how I roll. In fact, often the cake, cookie, etc is really just the delivery method for a delicious icing.Case in point: Betty Crocker recently brought back their Rainbow Chip icing. Please tell me you know what it is and have had it before! It is the best!Yes, yes, I know. How can I possibly say that a canned icing is the best?! I bake from scratch (mostly). But I tell you - I have been eating that icing since I was a kid and it's the only canned icing I really eat. And you guys I … [Read more...]

Key Lime Pie

I don't know about you, but I love a good Key Lime Pie with just the right amount of sweet and tart. This Key Lime Pie totally fits the bill and is a classic recipe you'll make over and over.So the other day at our small group (a church group that meets weekly) we randomly got onto a discussion about a particular hashtag. One woman was saying that she'd just learned what #smh was and felt like an idiot that she hadn't known already. She'd thought that it was literally a word, like when people say "psh"."Smh". Try sounding that out. It's not easy.So she started making the noise/saying "smh" and we were all dying laughing. One other woman in the group couldn't believe she hadn't known what it meant. So then the rest of us spoke up (there's 7 couples) and revealed that we too had no idea … [Read more...]

Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake

This Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake is the perfect breakfast or snack! It is wonderfully moist, cinnamon-filled and full of blueberries! So the hubs and I officially realized how old we are this weekend. Yes, I know 30 isn't that old but hear me out.We went to Six Flags Over Georgia for the first time since college. It was a lot of fun to spend some time together and do something different. However, I don't know if it was the hot weather or our old age, but we both got a little bit dizzy with every roller coaster we went on. Every. Single. One.Not cool.Nor had that every happened to either of us before. So weird.I will say though that the Superman coaster was super awesome. You sit down normally, but then it tilts your but up, so that you are looking at the ground as if you are … [Read more...]

Toffee Almond Streusel Coffee Cake

This post is sponsored by BAILEYS® Coffee Creamer, but all opinions are my own. This Toffee Almond Streusel Coffee Cake is seriously to die for. It’s super moist and full of toffee, almond and cinnamon flavors. With the addition of BAILEYS® Coffee Creamer Toffee Almond Cream, it is the perfect complement to your morning cup of coffee! So after our trip to South Africa a few weeks ago, one of the things I was most excited to come home to was my coffee. Believe it or not, tea is the hot drink of choice over there. And because tea revolves around a kettle and kettles are everywhere (including hotel rooms), there’s only instant coffee. The horror!!And without the focus on coffee, there was only milk and sugar to be added to it. Seriously, I need to drag boxes of BAILEYS® Coffee Creamer with me … [Read more...]

Strawberry Ice Cream Cake

This Strawberry Ice Cream Cake is so delicious and perfect for spring and summer! The vanilla cake is so soft and light, and the strawberry ice cream is creamy and so strawberry-y! With the beautiful strawberries on top and around the edge to finish it off, I'm in love.Fruit is kind of like nature's art. I mean think about it. Fruit, for the most part, is beautiful. It's so colorful. It comes in so many shapes and sizes. You can file it onto a cake and call it decorated. Beautiful.Plus, it delicious. If there's anything better than outer beauty, it's inner beauty. And inside most fruit, you find sweet delicious-ness. Double the beautiful.I'm poetic, I know. But seriously.
