And as we all know by now, mini makes everything better and cuter.I absolutely fell in love with this particular tart.I started off with an Oreo crust. One of the best crusts out there, because it's Oreo and they rock. The crust is filled with a Nutella chocolate ganache. You may recall that back in February, the hubs became a U.S. citizen (he's originally from South Africa) and I threw him an America party.Well, now that Memorial Day and July 4th are finally approaching, I'm going to share the pictures from the par-tay to give everyone some ideas in case you want to plan your own party. The day was full of our favorite American foods and all kinds of red, white and blue. I started out with BBQ sliders. Totally American. Always loved by all. And in fact, they were the first thing to disappear. We had flag themed plates, napkins and toothpicks. There were also flag balloons, but I forgot to get pictures. I had red and white flowers, too. I'd wanted to dye some of the white flowers blue, but … [Read more...]

This Strawberry Ice Cream Cake is so delicious and perfect for spring and summer! The vanilla cake is so soft and light, and the strawberry ice cream is creamy and so strawberry-y! With the beautiful strawberries on top and around the edge to finish it off, I'm in love.Fruit is kind of like nature's art. I mean think about it. Fruit, for the most part, is beautiful. It's so colorful. It comes in so many shapes and sizes. You can file it onto a cake and call it decorated. Beautiful.Plus, it delicious. If there's anything better than outer beauty, it's inner beauty. And inside most fruit, you find sweet delicious-ness. Double the beautiful.I'm poetic, I know. But seriously. These No Bake Coconut Caramel Nest Cookies are super easy to make and so cute for Easter! They are made with a mix of cornflakes, caramel and coconut, giving a fun blend of texture and flavors. So in case you missed it last week, the hubs officially became a U.S. citizen last Wednesday. We went to the ceremony, which only lasted about an hour, but started two hours late. They did a nice job. There were 159 people from 61 countries that received their citizenship during that ceremony. They listed all the countries and it was pretty crazy to think about all the people with such different backgrounds together in one room with one thing in common - becoming U.S. citizens. It's pretty amazing to think about what people go through to achieve that and so many of them just had their excitement all over their … [Read more...]

These Bunny Peeps in a Blanket Brownies are super fun for Easter! A moist and chewy brownie is topped with a cute bunny peep, then dipped in chocolate. They’re funny and festive and they have sprinkles. How can you not love them?Plus, marshmallow and brownies dipped in chocolate? Delish.
